Drill bit cooling

Below is a picture of my little rig. I just took a length of bendable =
natural-gas line and put air-line fittings on it and a small-oriface =
tip. I didn't come up with any good way to attach it directly to the =
drill press, so I jury-rigged a piece of wood to help hold it in place. =
I run the air at about 40 psi and find that I can easily hold the drill =
bit in my hand immediately after drilling a whole section of pinblock - =
it is barely warm. The air does a real nice job of clearing the cuttings =
from both the work area and from the drill bit itself. Cheap, easy, =
effective.
