Hi David...

I thought of this one as well... We had a model of this in Helsinki with 
Udo himself there to talk about it and other things.  Last I heard the 
idea was being scraped. Too expensive to make, the things wear out too 
fast... and yes... the missing friction the usual knuckle arrangment 
allows for was missed.

agreed...  as far as I can see we have at this point 3 votes for the 
frictionless universe..... against the rest of the world

As long as we are all on about off beat analogies... imagine 
frictionless sex .... grin....
