List,

I recently worked on a Vose and Sons upright. It was a really nice old beast
that had been relatively well kept by the family matriarch for quite some
time. The only thing really wrong with it is the brass hammer flange rail. Most
of the flanges seem okay, but three of the tongues that hold the pins to the
rail were broken. I couldn't find anything matching in the Schaff catalogue.

The technician who initially discovered the broken tongues had the courtesy
to remove good ones from the high end of the keboard and use them on the
offending notes(probably middle C and G).

Is there a supply house that specializes in brass parts? Anybody have an old
trasher Vose and Sons(or the like) that is being parted out?

There is no hurry, and in fact, the customer probably doesn't even care, but
I do. It's a nice old box, and I want it to work right!

Thanks in Advance

Dave Stahl
