Yes. Not broken (yet) but badly bent.

The spring can rotate from its normal position to an angle in which the 
tip of the spring slams into the damper lever. Usually the way that I 
notice the cords are gone is that I hear the "tick" "tick" tick" as the 
springs strike the damper lever. Usually its just a few of them but it 
is annoying to me and the customer.

Repetition is degraded and hammer bobbling may increase. Do they all 
stop working? No? Can one feel that the response is poorer? Yes.
