If the bushings you took out are no thinner than Renner's "thin", 
then you don't need a thinner cloth but a plug of the right 
thickness.  There's a HUGE difference (0.5mm) between the sizes you 
mentioned.  Cut a strip of card of a suitable thickness, fold it into 
a V and push that in before you push in the plug.  That way the 
effective thickness of your plug is whatever you choose.
