Get the action into the shop, sand blast it, blow it out, tighten all flange
screws, put a drop of thin CA on every jack flange glue joint, ditto for
hammer head glue joints, re-pin loose hammer pivots, file grooves out of
hammers, check all hammer springs, jack springs and damper springs-
reposition and straighten as necessary, check everything else, oh, and
replace and adjust the bridle straps. It's a great shop job for your sons.

Don't forget to tighten all the flange screws. The slightest turn can make a
big difference in taking noise and sloppiness out of the action.
