tight pins

I actually had the music director try to pull a couple "up" a bit, and he
was quite shocked. I often have customers turn pins, both to try to get
something in tune, and to understand that this is actually an athletic
venture at times.

The year of manufacture of the K & C grand with the tight tuning pins was
1994. Leslie Bartlett and I are both familiar with it.

Although this is not likely to be a warranty issue at this point (it's still
worth asking), I like to document this kind of thing anyway for my
protection and the customer's, and to give credibility to any communication
I have with the factory or dealer. On representative pins, I measure the
torque in the "flat" direction.
