[pianotech] Protek CLP question

It may be possible that the Protek CLP made a very bad condition somewhat
worse, but you already had a suboptimal situation on your hands. Did you
check the wippen pinning too? Sometimes it seems OK when in the piano (and
we can blame other subpar centers), but when disassembled the wippen flange
is very very tight.Did you remove the hammers from the action and work the
flange vigorously (i.e. swing rapidly)?  Dousing the flanges without
removing the parts from the rail won't get the best results from the Protek.
On the other hand, at that point you would do well to go ahead and repin the
flange.
