Jim

I got my SAT IV this summer, and downloaded the disc in my computer. I asked Paul several times how to use it, but like you, I found that the instructions weren't very clear. It's probably that, like you, I am not very smart when it comes to technical things like this. I am going to take my lap top and SAT IV with me to Las Vegas this summer, and ask for a hands on instructions.

Other than that, I like my new toy. The FAC works like the others, but the display is easier to read, especially when it's lit up. It's also nice have the name and model of pianos in the pre-programmed pages, so that I don't have to get the work sheet out every time. I think the weight is about the same, but the fact that it closes up makes it sturdier. However, I think the battery time is a little shorter. Also, the machine doesn't give much warning when the battery is low. I get about 5 minutes, and then it shuts off. Whereas with the SAT III, I could still do two pianos after the low bat sign would go on, before it would shut down.

I have been using the new machine for about 4 months now and have yet to figure out how to reliably put tunings in the machines EXTENDED memory. Have any of you figured this process out yet?.
Thanks,
