[pianotech] Action replacement cost

Thank you for the responses.  I had been guessing between $10-$15k really
not having any idea.  I will make sure my arse is covered.

I would cover myself for at least $25K, but put it at $30K to really take
care of weird stuffs...like hard to get parts, if it's really old out of
date parts, or you have to retrofit stuff with new parts.  Maybe even $35K
for the strangest of situations. It's not that it would cost that much to
replace, but you would cover yourself for lots of other things that might go
wrong.  The cost of insurance might not be that much different for $25K or
$50K. As my best friend (Japanese) best-man sez from an old Japanese saying;
"Cover your ass before you cover your face"!!  Too much isn't a word for
peace of mind! It's worth the cost my man!

I am currently looking around pricing liability insurance.  One question
that I have wondered is this.  Suppose, we were carrying in our possession,
a Steinway D action or something similar and we got into a car accident or
our we had a fire in our shop totally demolishing the action.  Our regular
car or house insurance would not cover it, I already asked them that.  What,
if anyone has a clue, do you think, it would cost to replace it?  Labor
