Tom Cobble sent me a series of photos of this very procedure a few years ago. I've never used it, but here are my choices of those photos to best demonstrate the procedure (for us rookies!) If you hover over any given photo a little description will display. http://www.pianotonix.com/grandLyreFix.htm The initial through-hole should be as close to the diameter of the spade bit as possible, without being smaller... a little larger is ideal. After boring out the recess for the T-nut, you can chase out the through-hole to the diameter needed for the T-nut. (Gracias, Tio Tom!!)
