[pianotech] Re Bridle Tape ENDS

I have ran across quite a few of these homemade tapes over the years,  
as you can see they are holding up well.
The guy who did it has been dead for years, and I never met him.
I imagine he bought the shoelace material in bulk, so for him an  
inexpensive repair.
Now with the ends, they would have looked great.
