PTG is a club. It's members- those who have rights to influence ongoing
decisions, pay hefty dues to be part of the club. They have ongoing
discussions and squabbles about the rules of the club. But it's their club.
They built up this club with years of hard work and dedication in order to
aid each other with their desire to be more capable technicians.

Those who are not members of the PTG, yet use the PTG list are guests, and
it is expected that guests would behave as such. They have no rights, only
privileges. If they want rights, then they should join the club.

If they want to squabble about the rules, then they should pay the "higher
dues" and become RPT's. That's how the club was set up, and it is the
members, not the guests, who only have reason to be discussing the everyday
irritations of the group. "Right" is what has been decided over the years by
the RPT's. It simply is the way it is. If guests continually demand
"rights", it seems it would be a simple thing to block anyone who has not
paid to be a member, and it would seem quite reasonable to do so, as
knowledge shared here is free to all, including those who compete with us
while complaining, costing us business by building their knowledge base at
the expense of the PTG.

I did my share of being an idiot for a year or so, as a guest......... The
rock isn't going to bend, so one either understands and follows the rules,
or they will eventually be shunned from sheer irritation of those who have
learned the rules......
