[pianotech] Tuned my first "bord-cage" piano

Only use a strip mute for tuning a birdcage piano if you always use a
strip mute and can't imagine tuning without it, doing unisons as you go.

If you can contemplate tuning unisons as you go, it's much easier just
to use the Papps mute. It's not at all difficult, after just a litle
practice, to insert it between the damper wires, and to drag it across
the strings using the tip like a plectrum, to determine which are the
strings you wish to insert it between.

Best regards,

David.
