Rob, one idea for removing ivories is to slice a thin layer of wood and ivory off each keystick.  Then you have the ivories intact in their original installation.  Next, remove similiar slice of wood and whatever, from piano keys you want to install them on. Glue  the "ivory veneer" onto the desired keysticks.  Takes good woodworking skills, but if you have a great looking set, why not keep it that way?
