Hi Richard: Where did you get these books? I would be interested in them, and would like to know the source. There is one of his pianos at the BBC in Cardiff, but with solid panels. I recently bought two excellent books by Alistair Laurence, a history of the Broadwood Barless piano and a history of 5 London piano makers (Brinsmead, Challen, Collard & Collard, Welmar, Danemann. Very well written and informative. It is interesting to read that Danemann were the last British makers of 9' concert grands and had one in the Royal Festival Hall when it opened in the early fifties.
