Thump; I also have a 52" Knabe upright , I call it a double stack, the stickers are attached to the keys with a snap-on fit, I may have put the horse in front of the cart by already re=stringing it. ?Sounds bueatiful, but I wish I could modernize the action. Is this what you are doing? So far I haven't replaced anything--I'm still evaluating, and I'm not planning to replace what doesn't need it. This is not intended to be a complete rebuild. The butts obviously need new leather, but otherwise they look fine. I'm still figuring out how I will proceed with some aspects of the project. The double hammer/damper flanges do not make things easier. If I need parts, I will likely be in trouble, unless I can get my neighbor to make them (he could). I do like the soft pedal assembly design. And, I might add, the piano is very heavy for its size. But the big question for me is the dowel-capstans under the wips. Did you replace the pinned-to-the-keys arrangement thusly, or is this the 52" model with dowel caps original? Where did you get parts that fit?? Did you re-use the original "pear" shaped butts??? > > Thumpe
