Agreed. I have a standard reply to any customer who tries and blames me 
for any string breakage. 

It simply must be possible to tune the piano. If you cant tune strings 
without them breaking then they need replacing. This goes for any and 
all parts of the piano. Anything that breaks under the reasonable 
stresses applied when servicing / tuning a piano is simply defect and 
must be replaced.

Here, I dont need to get the customer to sign a disclaimer ahead of 
time.  In Bushland however, it might be a good idea :)
