Hi Bill
If this was a 7/32nd thread then my preferred method of repair would be to
tap the hole for 1/4" which is slightly larger & install a 1.4" new aggraffe.
It makes servicing and repair more sure & reversabile if need be later. I
am aware of JB welds strength. My guess is the whole thing could be extracted
later ,although some what painfully ,drilled & retapped for the larger size.
Just my 2 cents worth.
   Regards
   Dale

I just ran into a massed up aggrafe in a s and s B. I roughed up the
threads with a tap and die, and used JB Weld. It has 2 ton strength and can be
drilled etc. They use it for engine block repairs. It is thick and easy to
work with. It takes 14 hours to harden completely.
