Alan
Thanks for the words of enthusiasm. I do appreciate it. Did I miss you or
was my head just spinning round? Next time get a bigger coat!
   Dale

Hi, I'm back (and the crowd yells "You been gone?")

Kudos and thanks to all who helped put on the California State
conference--it was just terrific! There was so much to see and do and learn,
and so many friends--old and new--to visit. Special thanks to Peter Clark,
the show was on his turf (Cal State Sacramento) and apparently required a
lot of scheduling, coordinating, arranging, cajoling, whining, fussing, and
foot-stomping on his part to make so many pianos available for tuning
tutoring, etc.

BTW with reference to Dale Erwin's msg in "More convention pics" about his
"Remanufactured 1928 Steinway D," I played that piano starting with a simple
bass octave in which the power, tone, and sustain about gave me goosebumps.
What a beautiful piano and restoration. I was going to take it home with me
but couldn't fit it under my coat even after I let the air out of it and
rolled it up. Dang.
