Hi Jeff,
              the piano probably needs rebuilding, I would definitely do 
some basic drying Asap but drying just at room temp and some air 
circulation. Evaluate in one month.
Too many variables with this type of damage to give sensible predictions.

If you are going to rebuild, I would wait a full year to see what damage 
shows up.

For things like this, most Universities are self insured.  I had a problem 
in our Music Dept with some serious Vandalism.  The dept. paid a $5000 
deductible.   All internal paper work, but the pianos got fixed.
When they have private insurance most times there is a huge deductible.

No real solutions, just observations.
