Hi Phil: I figured a way to notate the omnibus, as you requested: B C C# C# C# C# C# C# C# D D# E E E E E E E G G G G# A A# A# A# A# A# A# A# B C C# C# C# C# E E E E E E F F# G G G G G G G G# A A# ... etc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------- B A# A G# G F# F E D# D C# C B A# A G# G F# So: Each column is a chord. Right hand is above the line, left is below. You can give each chord 1 beat. Reading each column from bottom to top will represent the keyboard going from left to right - the same as normal sheet music notation. As you can see the bass line is a continuous chromatic descent. The right hand chord has only one note continuously changing at a time. Two iterations of this excercise are given above: it should be clear how to continue this pattern. Eventually you will end up at: B G E ---- B again. Have fun. Matt
