Piano Firing Missiles at Church Congregation

I have had this happen with a couple makes of pianos. We found that
there was nothing wrong with the piano except that the strings had all
been stressed beyond their elastic limits by the inspired pianist and
that they would break during services, at night, whenever - even when no
one was near the piano.

I softened the hammers, backed off the letoff etc. Nothing helped until
I changed all the bass strings and the piano player. It has been three
years since either of them broke a bass string.
