Very likely there are four little bracket that are screwed to the keybed at each section end. These brackets are screwed to the bottom of the rail and cannot be seen from a normal position. If you take two damper head barrels and screws then you can lift a finger at each end of the action and tighten the barrels flush against the rail then when you remove the rail and action you will not need ot try to reinsert the fingers into the rail.
