noisy dampers

Actually, a whooshing noise might be perfectly normal as all the dampers are 
raised, if they are binding, you might prefer to use a damper easing tool 
(umbrella wire) and graphite......and are you sure its not caused by a 
rubbing in the keybed by the dowell which is transferring sound to the 
frame....check your pedal assy as well for friction in the rod felts and 
leather padding.
